Useful Tips
Choose a quality cardboard box considering the strength needed to protect your goods.
Choose a rigid box with flaps, sizing it correctly to its contents, an under filled box is likely to collapse.
Wrap fragile items separately placing them in the centre of the box with adequate cushioning all around. The items should not move once packed.
Use tape or strapping where appropriate to seal and secure your box.

Packing Information
JCA is dedicated to delivering your parcels with speed and care. During the some of the transit processes that we offer parcels may be handled several times. It is therefore important that all items are adequately packed. JCA have some tips that will help you make sure your package arrives at its destination in the best possible condition and on time. JCA also offer a packing service and can supply you with the relevant material.

Restricted Items
- Aerosols (by air freight and road services).
- Any items which contain an explosive charge such as steering wheels with airbags, life rafts, life jackets etc.
- Animals, including birds, fish, insects, larvae etc.
- Any item deemed offensive to the religion or culture of the destination country, and/or any country transited during shipment.
- Banderols/Tax stickers.
- Batteries.
- Bullion, or any precious metal.
- Complete Firearms, firearm parts, ammunition, explosives, weapons or items that could be used as weapons (these include but are not limited to decorative swords, kitchen knives, scissors, chisels, screwdrivers, etc).
- Dangerous/Hazardous goods (these include but are not limited to dry ice, biological substances, flammable liquids, UN classified dangerous goods & goods specified as such under IATA, ADR, and IMDG regulations).
- Human remains or ashes.
- Illegal goods (these are goods which are considered illegal in the country of origin, any countries transited during shipment and/or the destination country, and would include but not be limited to pirated goods, counterfeit goods, and narcotics).
- Irreplaceable/unique items.
- Ivory and other banned products.
- Jewellery, loose precious stones, and objects constructed of precious metals and/or stones.
- Medical samples (includes bodily fluids and tissue).
- Negotiable and 'Cash-like' instruments in bearer form (this includes, but is not limited to blank cheques, blank or activated credit cards, event tickets, cash, bank notes, currency, phone cards, sim cards, and unused stamps etc.)
- Perfumes and Aftershaves.
- Perishable items.
- Pornography.
- Tobacco.
- Toner / printer cartridges.
